Spanish II (Español II)
This course is an extension of Spanish I. Increased emphasis on oral communication and comprehension is stressed at this level. Students will have increased opportunities to practice for proficiency in the target language (Spanish).
Students at this level are considered to be at an intermediate-low level (unless they are native speakers of Spanish), so mistakes will be inevitable as a deeper understanding of the language takes shape.
As with Spanish I, students must demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening for comprehension in the target language.
Written assignments (homework) will be a daily part of this Spanish course. Most assignments will come from the workbook Cuaderno. Extra credit and additional practice exercises can be found on the website www.classzone.com. Or, click on the Avancemos! textbook link (above left) for quicker access to this website.
